Dhikr, Tasbih & Dua After Salah

After performing the obligatory prayers, we are strongly encouraged to tasbih, Dhikr, Takbir, and istighfar. I will give one Tasbeeh and you can ask the Imam of your Masjid for more.

It is SUNNAH of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to use the right hand to make Tasbeeh.
This is one of the most well-known tasbeeh after Salah.

Subhan Allah - 33 times

Subhan Allah means: Glory be to Allah or Allah is free from imperfection.

Alhamdu-lillah - 33 times

Alhamdu-lillah means: Praise be to Allah.

Allahu Akbar - 33 times

Allahu Akbar means: Allah is the Greatest.

The final Tasbeeh - 1 time

La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu,

Lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa a'la-kulli-shay’in qadeer.

Meaning:
There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partners,
to Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs praises, and He has power over all things

Abu Hurairah reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who says Tsabeeh after every Salah: Subhan Allah thirty-three times; Alhamdu-lillah thirty-three times; Allahu Akbar thirty-three times; those are ninety-nine and completes the hundred with La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, Lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa a'la kulli shay’in qadeer, all of his sins are forgiven even if it was as much as the foam over the surface of the sea.” [Narrated by Muslim].
