Dhikr, Tasbih & Dua After Salah
After performing the obligatory prayers, we are strongly encouraged to tasbih, Dhikr, Takbir, and istighfar. I will give one Tasbeeh and you can ask the Imam of your Masjid for more.
It is from the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to count Tasbeeh (remembrance of Allah, such as saying SubḥānAllāh, Alḥamdulillāh, Allāhu Akbar) using the fingertips of the right hand.
This method was taught and practiced by the Prophet ﷺ.
This is one of the most well-known tasbeeh after Salah. Use the Right Hand Only: Follow the Sunnah by using the right hand exclusively. Use the tips or joints of your fingers—starting from the pinky or the thumb—and press with your thumb to count.
SubḥānAllāh
(سُبْحَانَ اللّٰه) – Glory be to Allah
Alḥamdulillāh
(الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰه) – All praise is due to Allah
Allāhu Akbar
(اللّٰهُ أَكْبَر) – Allah is the Greatest
